Photographed at Navy Pier in Chicago. Navy Pier is in the Streeterville neighborhood of the Near North Side and it's Chicago's number one tourist attraction. It spans acres of parks, gardens, shops, restaurants, family attractions and exhibition facilities. Opened in 1916 it was originally named "Municipal Pier" and later renamed to Navy Pier to honor the naval veterans who served in the First World War. It's one of Bart's favorite spots to take his couples for engagement and wedding portraits. This spot is in close proximity to Bart's other favorite places, like Olive Park.
Engagement session is a big part of the wedding photography coverage. It creates memorable and beautiful images of the couple that can be used, among other things, for the save the date cards and display prints at the wedding. It also serves as a great way of getting to know the photographer who on the other hand will learn about couple's personalities, likes and dislikes. After all, just like the bridal party, the photographer will be with the couple for the majority of their wedding day.
This engagement image was taken with Bart's favorite, Nikon 24-70mm 2.8 lens on a D4 body. Off camera light was added from the left due to late afternoon hours.
